Day TWO : Round TWO
The 2025 edition of the Monte Carlo Classic continued this evening with eight Round Two matches to decide the quarter-finalists.
Top seed Melissa Alves and eighth seed Lauren Baltayan will contest an all-French last eight match after three game wins over Breanne Flynn and Kara Lincou. The other match in the top half of the draw will be an all-English affair between fourth and seventh seeds Alicia Mead and Millie Tomlinson.
There were two titanic struggles in the bottom half of the draw as second seeded Egyptian Zena Mickawy came from two games and 10-3 match ball down to deny Madison Lyon, setting up a match against Germany’s Saskia Beinhard.
New Zealand’s Kaitlyn Watts edged past fifth seeded Finn Emilia Soini 11-9 in the decider to set up a clash with third seed Torrie Malik.
