After a not that simple last week/travel to Monte-Carlo, Kara managed to close the match in three….

“I breathe, I walk, the sea… Monte-Carlo reminds me a bit of la Réunion.
I felt confident today after the weekend, and my game plan is starting to settle in nicely. I tried to keep that in mind. But I didn’t know her at all — the only thing I found online was a video from eight years ago!
I took a nap, a proper power nap — slept well, not too long, but I needed it after practice. I relaxed, watched a short video… that’s my kind of prep, including a meal with the French clan.
My game is quite varied — I’ve got a lot of shots in my racquet — but it took me a while to understand that I first needed to be patient before I could really make the most of my weapons at the front.
So now I’m trying to construct more, especially at this level. You can’t just bring the ball forward and expect to win the point right away.
I’m really happy. My expectations are getting higher because I’m starting to establish myself against players ranked around the top 75–80. This is my fourth win over someone at that level in the last couple of months, so I’m starting to feel like I belong there — and maybe I can aim even higher. So yes, I’m happy.”
